This project was based on the characterisation and biogeochemical evaluation of the materials, in order to manage their disposal within the different deposits, taking into account their generation potential and other associated risks.
Therefore, studying the behaviour of each material, the planning of mine tailings discharges was adjusted and measures were designed to prevent/slow down the generation of acid drainage.
